Zaczynam sie zastanawiac czy nie zaczac opisywac moich potyczek z firma ktora obsluguje w swojej pracy. Goscie sa jeszcze lepsi niz admin z opowiesci pod tytulem „Bastard Operator From Hell” (poszukajcie na google). Mozna szału dostać, to takie przebiegłe bestie :]

Wczoraj odmaskowano qt-4.4.1 w głównym repozytorium gentoo. Czyli można je zainstalować bez ryzyka.
Największą zmianą jest rozbicie paczki na drobniejsze :

Teraz przebudowanie qt, lub zmiana flag odnośnie obsługi baz danych będzie szybsza. Kilka aplikacji w portage wymaga przeniesienia na nowy schemat pakietów qt – główny pakiet tylko instaluje elementy składowe, dlatego każdy ebuild ma polegać tylko na tych elementach składowych których naprawdę potrzebuje.
Na przykład prosta aplikacja pokroju QMPDClient będzie prawdopodobnie tylko wymagać qtcore i qtgui do pracy. A aplikacje pracujące w trybie tekstowym oparte na qt ( tak, tak, są takie ) prawdopodobnie tylko qtcore.
Zastanawia mnie tylko jak daleko posunie się takie rozdrabnianie pakietów w gentoo w przyszłości – może niedługo będziemy mieć rozbite openoffice, tak jak mają niektóre binarne dystrybucje? – w ubuntu można osobno zainstalować writer od calc czy reszty – ale to rozdzielenie jest prawdopodobnie przeprowadzone po skompilowaniu całości u osoby która opiekuje się pakietami…nieważne. Ważne, że jeden z kluczowych problemów utrudniający dodanie kde-4.1 do portage został rozwiązany.

Od niedawna przyłapałem się na tym że na gitorious.org przestał działać mój klucz ssh. Próba ponownej instalacji klucza powodowała jego odrzucanie ( " ssh key invalid " ).
Problem polega na tym ze zamiast user@host na końcu klucza trzeba wpisać swój email jaki podaliśmy przy rejestracji w gitorious.org. Być może problem nie dotyczy wszystkich, ale u mnie było to jedyne działające rozwiązanie.

Szybka notatka na przyszłość; aby wbić się na serwer ESX za pomocą vSphere poprzez tunel SSH, trzeba przeforwardować porty 443, 902, 903 oraz dodać wpis do hosts postaci
127.0.0.1 esxhost
bez tego nie pójdzie. Posiadanie wpisu określającego 127.0.0.1 jako "localhost" też z jakiegoś powodu nie wystarcza i dostaje się tajemnicze informacje o nieprawidłowym hoście, braku łączności itp.

W takiej sytuacji należy w windows w wlaściwościach drukarki odznaczyć "drukuj bezpośrednio na drukarkę". Dziwne, ale zostawię to sobie tutaj na przyszłość.
